Zeta R1 stops booting when all Icons light up

This probably happens because your system has a video card that is not recognized by Zeta. Try this workaround:

Press space when the system starts booting and select :"Use fail-safe video mode" from the Zeta boot menu.

If this solves the problem then you may need to obtain an updated driver for you video card. BeBits (http://www.bebits.com/) is a good location to look for such a driver. If there is not an updated driver you will need to repeat the above procedure each time your system is booted.
